NOW clocks

Hack Details: Tense correct time devices – clocks that tell you that it’s ‘now’, but run at varying speeds and with varying numbers of ticks (there’s a really interesting artsy reason for this, I swear..).
What you need to make it happen?: I have some arduinos – regular/mega, (or a galileo?) and some motors, and lots of old carriage clocks/bits of electronics. I need someone to help me make it go (software/hardware – I have lots of enthusiasm and an overwhelming, almost murderous desire to win the clock prize, but not much know-how).
